Mamta Mohandas is a Malayalam actress and also an Indian playback singer. She has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam films and also Canada.

Basics
Mamta Mohandas was born in Bahrain on 14 November 1985. Her education was from the Indian School, Bahrain and she later graduated from Mount Caramel, Bangalore. She is trained in Karnatic and Hindustani music. Mamta has tried her hand at modeling for a while. She went on to contend Mysore Maharajah and Raymonds. She has also done some print ads for IBM and Kalyan Kendra.

Mamta owns a Honda CBR 1000RR motorcycle as she loves speed and open road race.

It landed in some controversy when it was associated with co-star Suresh Gopi her Lanka.

Careers
Mamta Mohandas Malyalam film work began with Hariharan's Mayookham 2005: And this film was a failure, but Mamta attracted attention from all because of the character she played, and then appeared in a supporting role in Bus Conductor.

She acted in Madhuchandralekha and Adhbutam Lanka. She did a Tamil film opposite Vishal Reddy Sivapathigaram.

Her singing debut was in Rakhee movie and it got Filmfare award for best playback singer (2007) in Telugu. Kollywood industry in the way she sang the title Kaalai. She had a supporting role in Yamadonga directed by SS Rajamouli, who proved a big hit. She also sang a few songs for this film.

Krishna, Victory and Homam Kathanayakudu JUNAS were some of the movie where she played a key role. Her last film was king, where she acted and sang the title track. She was acclaimed for both her singing and acting in this film.

In 2009 she was seen in Malayalam films as a passenger, John Angel and guest.
