It is a Tamil Iyer and his parents Vasudev and Latha. Priyamani is a student of psychology and has spent most of the years growing up in Bangalore. Priyamani has not been as successful as all the original versions of those Kangalal Kaidhu Sei, Evare Atagaadu and Satyam have failed. Things brightened with the release of Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam (2005). Although considered as an actor, the film causes the lukewarm reaction.
